There are lots of sites that report the Vizsla has been as it is today since the Dark Ages. That is romanticizing a very tumultuous past. The breed was reduced to 12 known purebred individuals after WWII. Some historical data is here, but a non-partisan view of the Vizsla past, as donated by the individuals involved, will appear on www.vizslasunlimited.com The listing of breeders and stud dogs on that site will support running the online museum of Vizsla facts. The items that will be uploaded for viewing first, were given directly to one of the two curators of the Online Vizsla Museum with the specific purpose to share the information online.
