Who is the photographer? Michel Berner began photographing hunting dogs in 2004 and is able to capture the essence of your dog in candid or posed photos. Whether you want to portray a fun-loving spirit, loyalty, beauty or physical prowess, your pet is more than just an animal, they are an integral part of your life and your photos should capture that special relationship. She is a lover of all dog, cats, and horses and loves their playful and mischevious sides as well as their devotion!
Where will we shoot our photos? We can shoot wherever your pet is most comfortable: In your home, outdoors (weather permitting), or a mixture of both. We can capture your dog in action in the field, on the lake, or on the couch! Photo shoots within 60 miles of 54741 are included in the Session Fee. Travel Fee of $1/mile is added for all locations located more than 60 miles from 54741. Out of state travel can be arraged to IL, MN, IA, ND, SD, and the U.P. of MI. I can also arrange group bookings at a discounted travel rate.
What are your payment terms? Session Fee is due prior to the start of the session in either cash or credit card.
What are your prices and what is included? We offer several different packages. All packages include minor retouching and color correction, and digital proofs uploaded to an online gallery where you can purchse prints or novelty items. You will have many photos to choose from when ordering. I will e-mail low-resolution photos perfect for sharing on social media or to e-mail to clients.
Basic Session $150
Session is 1 hour. Includes 3 8x10 prints
Whelping Box! $250
Session is 2 hours. Includes 4 8x10 prints
A Day In The Life! $350
This 3 hour session to capture the nuances and personality of your pet that is hard to get in 1hour, and can include indoor & outdoor shoots, weather permitting. Includes 5 8x10 prints
Always Remembered $75
This 30-minute session is at 1 location, and really caters to end-of-life remembrance photos, but can be done with any pet. Includes 2 8x10 prints
Growing Up Puppy/Kitten/Foal! $1500
Includes a 1-hour photo session every month for one year! Each month, you will have 3 8x10 photos.
Can we plan the session ahead of time?
Yes! I will also allow an extra 30 minutes at the beginning of the session to get to know you and your pet, and get a feel for what you're trying to capture. Generally, session times will vary depending on the obedience level of the pet involved, shooting location, etc. The times listed are a rough estimate. Additional time may be added at $25/half-hour.
What commands should my dog know before the photo shoot? Depending on the type of shoot desired, and the bare minimum, the animal should know how to Come, and should be able to Stay for at least 10 seconds. It is not required, but the quality of photos does depend on the willing participation of the animal, so a better trained dog will get more photos to choose from than and untrained one.
How will I see and select my favorite photos? Photos can be viewed and selected online. You will be given a personal link for viewing & selecting your photos when they are available about 1-2 weeks after the session.
Who owns the final product? I retain the copyrights.
What does this mean? You have purchased the right to make non-commercial copies of all photos (post to Facebook, etc.) with my logo intact, but you do not have the right to sell the photos for money.
How long will I have to wait? All online proofs are presented to you within two weeks of the session. Appointments will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time as quickly as possible.
Will you use my photos elsewhere? I do retain the rights to use photos in various media or advertising capacities to promote my work as part of my portfolio or on brochures or business cards. I will not be selling your photos to any 3rd party.
